Paint Polishing & Spot Correction
South Shore, MA

Erase swirls, revive gloss, and correct problem areas without ever leaving your driveway.

Polishing Our Way to Exterior Perfection

Our mobile Paint & Spot Correction service pairs expert paint care with a gentleman’s attention to detail to deliver a result like no other.

*Our paint correction process will always be slightly different and unique for every vehicle due to various reasons such as the type of paint used (hard or soft), how thick or old it is, whether it has been polished before, and overall how much correction is determined to be required after inspection.

Ideal when you want to have…

  1. Any swirls, hazing and various other distorting topical paint defects corrected

  2. A need for spot-specific correction (topical scratches, paint transfers, light scuffs, etc.)

  3. To get you paintwork prepared to have an advanced coating more effectively cure onto it once applied such as our semi-ceramic coating.

  4. Gloss enhancement on paintwork that is already in great condition that is generally absent of defects and would simply like to bring the appearance of their vehicle to new heights.

General Paint Polishing Process Post Full Exterior Detail:

  1. All car panels of the vehicle will have their edges taped to separate work area from rest of vehicle.

  2. A thorough inspection of all car panels will be performed as to determine which zone is in the worst condition in relation to the others, which will become the “test spot”.

  3. Starting with very light polishing on the test spot, we will safely and continuously work up polishing aggression on said area until fully corrected.

  4. The main idea behind the test spot is to allow detailers to determine the absolute maximum amount of polishing needed to take care of the worst zone. Once the max is determined, we know to work our way down from there when polishing the rest of your vehicle.

The more aggressive of polishing, the more paint that is taken off.

More paint removed doesn’t mean a cleaner, crisper finish, it just means you now have less paint, making future polishing more difficult and eventually impossible without getting an entirely new paintjob.

Our goal is to get your paint looking good as new while retaining as much of your paint’s original thickness as possible.

Gloss Enhancement (Whole Vehicle)
(Starting $225+)

Best for typically three types of vehicle/ owners:

  1. A vehicle with already near perfect paintwork

  2. A vehicle with paintwork so thin that any further corrections risk burning through paint

  3. You want beautiful looking results while also not wanting to break the bank

What we do:

  1. Thorough inspection & safe masking of edges/emblems

  2. A lighter, single-step machine polish across vehicle to give an amazing glossy pop to already great looking paint

  3. Panel-wipe to remove polishing oils

  4. Protection top-off

Expected results (condition-dependent)

Dramatically improved clarity, depth, and gloss.

The Various Levels of Correction

Single-Stage Correction (Whole Vehicle)
(Starting $400+)

Best for Light-to-moderate swirls and oxidation where you want a notably brighter, glossier finish in a single pass gloss enhancement

What we do:

  1. Thorough inspection & safe masking of edges/emblems

  2. Test spot to choose the mildest effective pad/polish combo

  3. Multi-pass single step machine polish across vehicle to boost clarity and correct light defects

  4. Panel-wipe to remove polishing oils

  5. Protection top-off

Expected results (condition-dependent)

Typically ~70-85% defect reduction.

Spot Correction (Per Panel)

  2. Test spot to choose the mildest effective pad/polish combo

  3. Targeted compound & refine (microfiber/wool → foam finishing)

  4. Panel-wipe to remove any remaining oils, residue or polish

  5. Protection top-off

Two-Step Enhancement (Whole Vehicle)
(Price Upon Inspection)

What we do:

  1. Thorough inspection & safe masking of edges/emblems

  2. Test spot to choose the mildest effective pad/polish combo

  3. The first, more aggressive machine polishing process will be performed to get rid of majority of defects.

  4. The second, less aggressive machine polishing process will be performed to give your now corrected paint that iconic showroom finish.

  5. Panel-wipe to remove polishing oils

  6. Protection top-off

Expected results (condition-dependent)

Typically ~90-95% defect reduction.

Honest Expectations: What Paint & Spot Correction Cannot Fix (Mobile)

Even with professional compounds, pads, and lighting, paint correction has limits—especially in a mobile setting. To keep expectations clear and fair:

Through-paint scratches

If the mark has cut through clear coat and color into primer or bare metal, polishing cannot “fill” or remove it. (These require touch-up or a body shop respray.)

Rock chips & missing paint

Machine polishing can clean and soften edges, but it cannot replace missing paint.

Peeling/failed clear coat

Clear-coat delamination (flaking, cloudy patches) cannot be polished back; doing so risks further failure. Respray is the right remedy.

Severe oxidation & deep etching

Heavy oxidation, water-spot etching into clear coat, or bird-etch “craters” may improve, but usually won’t disappear with a single-stage or spot pass.

Matte / satin finishes

We do not machine polish matte or satin paint; polishing will add gloss and create uneven patches.

Thin/previously polished paint

On older or repeatedly corrected paints, we use ultra-conservative methods to protect your clear coat although some defects may remain.

Bodywork blend lines & repaints

Edges from past bodywork or thin repaints can limit how much we can safely cut; 100% defect removal is not realistic in those zones.

PPF & vinyl

Paint protection film (PPF) and vinyl wraps have strict limits; only very light refinement is sometimes possible (case-by-case).

Rust, dents, and texture (orange peel)

Correction won’t remove dents, rust, or factory/rep sprayed “orange peel” texture.

When correction isn’t the right fix

We’ll transparently recommend touch-up, PPF replacement, or a trusted body shop for respray. Our goal is maximum safe improvement—never false promises.

Care After Correction

Wash routine: pH‑neutral soap, soft wash media, gentle drying towels

Protection: Keep sealant fresh every 2–3 months or upgrade to ceramic for multi‑year ease of cleaning

Whenever possible, avoid automatic brushes; touchless is OK if followed by a hand wash later.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much improvement can I expect from a single-stage polish?

Most vehicles see a noticeable gloss boost and meaningful reduction in light swirls/haze (often 40–70% improvement, condition-dependent). Deep scratches that catch a fingernail typically require multiple stages or remain partially visible.

Is spot correction safe for my clear coat?

Yes. We use measured, localized correction, conservative pad/polish combos, and panel wipes to verify honest results. Our aim is maximum improvement with minimum material removal.

Can you remove key marks or transfer from another car?

Often, yes. Paint transfer typically corrects well. Deep gouges may improve but will most likely remain visible. We’ll inspect with lighting/test a small section to confirm what’s safely achievable.

Will polishing remove my existing ceramic coating?

Any machine polishing will alter or strip existing protection in the polished areas. We can re-top with ceramic spray sealant or discuss longer-term ceramic options to restore protection post-correction.

How long does Paint & Spot Correction take?

Spot correction: ~45–90 minutes per panel (defect-dependent).

Single-stage enhancement: ~3–5.5 hours, based on size/condition.

We’ll give a more precise window after an initial walk-around or photos.

What do I need to provide for mobile service?

An outdoor water spigot and an accessible power outlet help us deliver the best results. We’re fully mobile and bring the rest. Weather-safe scheduling applies.

How do I keep the finish looking great afterward?

Book our Exterior Wash, Protect & Seal every 2–3 months to keep gloss high, reduce marring, and preserve your investment.

Will this remove oxidation on older paint?

Light oxidation responds very well to a single-stage. Severe/long-term oxidation may require multiple stages or specialized processes (not always feasible mobile). We’ll advise on-site.

Do you correct matte, satin, or PPF-covered panels?

No machine polishing on matte/satin finishes; they can gloss up and become patchy. PPF can be lightly refined in some cases, but we evaluate carefully first.
